UPDATES from Church Council regarding COVID-19

June 6th: We are now live-streaming from our sanctuary again with the support of a very limited and physically distanced worship team. We are actively exploring safe options and necessary precautionary procedures for leading/live-streaming worship from outside of the entryway to our church building while broadcasting the service audio via FM Radio, so that those would like to worship from their parked cars together in the parking lot in person might have that safe option. This is intended to be a stepping stone to the time when it is safe to gather outside in larger groups again for a more typical outdoor worship.

The church council will continue to monitor and discussed the information presented by experts and public health officials. The following video conference organized by the Minneapolis Area Synod office with epidemiologist Dr. Michael Osterholm and we invite you to watch that video as well linked below. The church council will continue to meet every other week and will keep you comprised of any changes as we navigate these complicated times together, physically distanced for safety, but united in Christ always.

Cross of Hope Lutheran Church, as a community of Christian faith, strives to invite all people into a deeper walk of discipleship. Rooted in the theology of inclusion framed by the Apostle Paul (Galatians 3:28) we welcome, celebrate, and affirm all people of every race and culture without regard to age, abilities, addictions, physical or mental health, citizenship status, socioeconomic circumstance, sexual orientation, gender identity, or relationship status.

We recognize one baptism in the name of the Holy Trinity regardless of where it occurred, or who performed it. We celebrate an open communion table acknowledging that it is Christ’s table and not our own.

All are welcome here. You are welcome here.
