A Christmas in Kells

This year’s Christmas Eve message was the pinnacle of our theme of Illumination that carried Cross of Hope form Advent through the season of Epiphany. Throughout Advent we steeped ourselves in the stunning art form of Manuscript Illumination, following in the footsteps of monks and scribes of our Christian heritage. Our 2015 Christmas Eve message was told through the lens of a fictional fiction shared throughout the entire service in 5 parts, following the life and spiritual struggle to of a perfectionistic monk known as Brother Padraic.

Throughout the story we see as spiritual transformation in him as he discovers in his own way the true light of hope found in the Christ Child and the Cross.

Each part of “A Christmas in Kells” can be found at the following locations in the recording: Part 1 – 8:05 / Part 2 – 16:01 / Part 3 – 30:47 / Part 4 – 44:03 / Part 5 – 56:24. Service recorded on Christmas Eve 2015 at the 10:30pm service at Cross of Hope Lutheran Church in Ramsey, MN
